Saxmundham is a popular and thriving market town some 18
miles north east of
Ipswich.
It is set in the valley of the river Fromus, a tributary of
the Alde, The town has excellent communications with the A12
nearby and is also served by
Saxmundham railway station on the East Suffolk Line.
There is a market in Saxmundham every Wednesday. The town
has a large supermarket in Church Street, as well as a good
selection of specialist shops and banks in the High Street.
