The town of
Leiston lies on the edge of the beautiful Suffolk Heritage Coast,
close to the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh and the unique
coastal village of Thorpeness. Leiston is the largest of the
Heritage Coast towns with a population of some 5,000. It has a
wide range of amenities which include a variety of shops, schools
and a library and a modern Leisure Centre with swimming pool and
associated facilities, and boasts the oldest operational cinema in
Suffolk.
With a journey time of less than two hours, the regular direct rail service to London Liverpool Street
from Saxmundham
is a great asset. Couple this with the proximity of the A12 and you have very easy access to Ipswich
where the provision for sport and the arts are first-rate, and the shopping is excellent too!
